Before Dawn (Drama, History, War)
An epic retelling of one of Australia’s most significant military victories during World War I, “Before Dawn” debuts on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, Sept. 24, from Well Go USA Entertainment.
After leaving his family’s sheep farm in the Australian outback, a young man joins his countrymen on the western front of World War I with hopes of helping expedite an end to the bloody conflict. But as war rages on, he is forced to grapple with the brutal realities of trench warfare, including a near-constant battle to keep himself alive — without leaving another man behind.
Based on real-life war diaries from soldiers in the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC), “Before Dawn” is directed by Jordon Prince-Wright (“The Decadent and Depraved”) and stars Levi Miller (“Pan”), Travis Jeffery (“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes”), Myles Pollard (“McLeod’s Daughters”), Tim Franklin (“Home and Away”), Jordan Dulieu (“Everything in Between”), Peter Sullivan (“Fading Numbers”), Ed Oxenbould (“Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day”) and Stephen Peacocke (“Whiskey Tango Foxtrot”). Bonus materials on the release include behind-the-scenes featurettes and the film’s trailer.
Front Row Features is giving away a Blu-ray copy of the epic war drama “Before Dawn” to three lucky readers. To enter the contest, simply email socalmovieeditor@aol.com by Sept. 30 for your chance to win. Good luck!
