Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (Comedy)

It’s kind of a big deal. In honor of its 20th anniversary this year, the absurdly hilarious, star-studded comedy “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” releases on 4K Ultra HD for the first time ever Tuesday, July 2, from Paramount Home Entertainment.

There was a time before cable when the local anchorman reigned supreme. Enter the hard-hitting world of the 1970s local TV news, where Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell, “Step Brothers”) and his loyal Channel 3 News Team (Paul Rudd, “Ant-Man;” Steve Carell, “The Office;” and David Koechner, “The Goldbergs”) are San Diego’s No. 1-rated news source. All is well in their male-dominated world of news until beautiful, rising-star reporter Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate, “Married…with Children”) turns it all upside down. Sparks don’t just fly, they ignite an all-out war between the two perfectly coiffed anchorpersons. In a job where it pays to keep a straight face, “Anchorman” is the comedy that makes it almost impossible to stop laughing.

The 3-disc 20th anniversary 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray set includes the remastered theatrical version of the film in sparkling 4K Ultra HD, plus two Blu-ray discs featuring more than two hours of legacy bonus content. Extras include 36 deleted and extended scenes, bloopers, cast auditions, the “Afternoon Delight” recording session and music video, the Ron Burgundy ESPN SportsCenter audition, interviews and more. Fans can also enjoy both the theatrical and extended cuts of the movie on Blu-ray and “Wake Up Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie,” an unrated 92-minute film featuring outtakes and unused storylines from the original movie.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (Action, Drama, War)

From director Guy Ritchie (“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”) and producer Jerry Bruckheimer (“Top Gun”), “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” is now available to own on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital from Lionsgate. A 4K Ultra HD SteelBook is also available for purchase exclusively from Amazon.

Based on the book “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill’s Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Gave Birth to Modern Black Ops” by Damien Lewis, the action-comedy tells the incredible true story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials, including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks led by Gus March-Phillipps (Henry Cavill, “Man of Steel”), goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately, the task force’s audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern black ops warfare.

Bonus features on the release include “The Ministry of Filmmaking” and the film’s theatrical trailer.
