Elvis (Biography, Drama, Music)

Experience an epic exploration of the life and music of Elvis Presley when “Elvis” arrives on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, September 13, from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film is also available for Premium Digital Ownership and is currently streaming on HBO Max.

Directed by Baz Luhrmann (“Moulin Rouge!”), the thoroughly cinematic drama showcases Elvis Presley’s (Austin Butler) story through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). As told by Parker, the film delves into the complex dynamic between the two spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).

The 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray and Premium Digital Ownership editions of “Elvis” come with several engaging extras that hit all the right notes, including four behind-the-scenes featurettes — “Bigger Than Life: The Story of ‘Elvis,’” “Rock ‘n’ Roll Royalty: The Music and Artists Behind ‘Elvis,’” “Fit for a King: The Style of ‘Elvis’” and “Viva Australia: Recreating Iconic Locations for ‘Elvis’” — and a lyric video for “Trouble.”

Sniper: The White Raven (Drama, War)

Based on a true story of one man’s difficult transformation into a war hero, “Sniper: The White Raven” debuts on Digital and Blu-ray Tuesday, September 13, from Well Go USA Entertainment.

After suffering a senseless tragedy in 2014 at the hands of invading soldiers in Donbas, a former Ukrainian physics teacher renounces his peaceful way of life and seeks revenge. Upon joining the military and earning a coveted spot as a sniper, he sets his sights on an elite Russian sniper whose elimination could change the tide of the conflict.

The Ukrainian action-packed drama from first-time feature film director Marian Bushan (who co-wrote the film with Mykola Voronin) stars Pavlo Aldoshyn, Maryna Koshkina, Andriy Mostrenko, Roman Semysal, Oleg Drach, Roman Yasinovskyi and Oleg Shulga. Bonus features include the film’s trailer and an English language track.

Lightyear (Animation, Action, Adventure)

Discover the story behind the beloved toy when Disney and Pixar Studios’ epic animated space adventure “Lightyear” debuts on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, Sept. 13. The film is also currently available on all major digital platforms and streaming on Disney+.

As this motley crew embark on their toughest mission yet, they must learn to work as a team to escape the evil Zurg (voice of James Brolin) and his dutiful robot army who are never far behind.

The 4k Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital releases of “Lightyear” come loaded with bonus features, including an audio commentary (also on the DVD release) with director Angus MacLane, writer Jason Headley and director of photography Jeremy Lasky that provides insight into the making of the animated feature, which took 5-and-a-half years to complete!
