Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (Comedy, Fantasy, Horror)

Director Tim Burton and actor Michael Keaton reunite for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” available to own on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, Nov. 19, from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. The long-awaited sequel to Burton’s award-winning “Beetlejuice,” “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is also now available to purchase on Digital.

Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.

Oscar-nominee Michael Keaton (“Birdman”) returns to his iconic role alongside two-time Oscar nominee Winona Ryder (“Little Women,” “The Age of Innocence”) as Lydia Deetz and two-time Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (“Schitt’s Creek,” “SCTV Network”) as Delia Deetz, with new cast members Justin Theroux (“Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi”), Monica Bellucci (“The Matrix Reloaded”) and Arthur Conti (“House of the Dragon”) in his feature film debut. Four-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (“Platoon”) also stars in the film, as well as Emmy nominee Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday”) as Lydia’s daughter, Astrid.

Those who purchase “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and Digital will have access to more than two hours of special features, including a commentary by two-time Oscar nominee Tim Burton (“Frankenweenie,” “Corpse Bride”). Blazing Saddles (Comedy, Western)

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, “Blazing Saddles” will be released for the first time on 4K Ultra HD and Digital Tuesday, Nov. 19, from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

Ribald, tasteless and hilarious, this classic spoof of the Western genre by director Mel Brooks (“Spaceballs”) pokes fun at everyone and everything. A corrupt governor grants a reprieve to an African-American convict if the condemned man agrees to serve as sheriff of a small Western town, believing that new sheriff will only live long enough to serve the needs of the governor and his nefarious railroad-baron backer.

Starring Cleavon Little (“Once Bitten”) and Gene Wilder (“Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory”), “Blazing Saddles” received three Academy Award nominations: Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Madeline Kahn, “Young Frankenstein”); Best Music, Original Song; and Best Film Editing. In 2006, it was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the United States Library of Congress as being culturally, historically or aesthetically significant. Special features on the release include additional scenes, scene-specific commentary by Mel Brooks and the featurettes “Inappropriate Inspiration: The ‘Blazing Saddles’ Effect,” “Blaze of Glory: Mel Brooks’ Wild, Wild West” and “Back in the Saddle.”

The Crow (Action, Crime, Fantasy, Horror)

Experience vengeance born from true love in “The Crow,” now available to own on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital from Lionsgate. An exclusive 4K Ultra HD SteelBook is also available for purchase at Amazon and Walmart featuring limited-edition artwork unique to each retailer.

Bill Skarsgård (“It”) takes on the iconic role of The Crow in this modern reimagining of the original graphic novel by James O’Barr. Soulmates Eric (Skarsgård) and Shelly (award-winning singer-songwriter FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Eric sets out to seek merciless revenge on their killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.

Bonus features on the release include the six-part “True Love Never Dies: Making ‘The Crow’” as well as the following extras: “Dark Romance: The Score,” “Reborn Through Revenge: Main Title Sequence,” “Every Film is a Miracle: A Tribute to Edward R. The Killer’s Game (Action, Comedy, Thriller)

When top hit man Joe Flood (Dave Bautista, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” trilogy) is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he decides to take matters into his own hands — by taking a hit out on himself. But when the very hit men he hired also target his ex-girlfriend (Sofia Boutella, “The Mummy”), he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it’s too late.

Based on the book “The Killer’s Game” by Jay R. Bonansinga, the movie also stars Terry Crews (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”), Scott Adkins (“John Wick: Chapter 4”), Pom Klementieff (“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and 3”) and Ben Kingsley (“Iron Man 3”). Bonus features on the release include four featurettes — “Meet Joe Flood,” “The Conductor, “World of Assassins” and “Killed It!” — and the film’s theatrical trailer.

Merchant Ivory (Documentary)

The definitive documentary of the legendary Merchant Ivory partnership, which produced such award-winning masterpieces as “A Room with a View,” “Maurice,” “Howards End” and “Remains of the Day,” “Merchant Ivory” is now available to own on Blu-ray and DVD from Cohen Media Group.

“Merchant Ivory” is anchored by an interview with writer/director James Ivory (“Call Me by Your Name”) and 41 collaborators detailing and celebrating their experiences of being a part of the “wandering company” helmed by legendary producer Ismail Merchant. With six Academy Award winners among the notable artists participating, the documentary provides new and compelling perspectives on a unique partnership that produced seminal films over four decades.

Bonus features on the release include interviews with Emma Thompson (“Howards End”), Helena Bonham Carter (“Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”), Hugh Grant (“Four Weddings and a Funeral”), Vanessa Redgrave (“Julia”) and Hiroyuki Sanada (“The Twilight Samurai”); a deleted scene; the documentary’s theatrical trailer; the featurette “Rich Atmosphere: The Music of Merchant Ivory Films;” the James Ivory and Stephen Soucy (director of “Merchant Ivory”) introduction from the NY Indian Film Festival; and James Ivory and Stephen Soucy in conversation at the NYSWI Film Festival.

North by Northwest (Action, Adventure, Mystery, Thriller)

Celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2024, “North by Northwest” will be released for the first time on 4K Ultra HD and Digital Tuesday, Nov. 19, from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

Cary Grant (“Notorious”) stars as an innocent man mistaken for a spy in one of director Alfred Hitchcock’s (“Psycho”) greatest thrillers. While leaving New York’s Plaza Hotel, advertising executive Roger Thornhill (Grant) has the misfortune of raising his hand just as the name “George Kaplan” is paged — starting a lethal case of mistaken identity and a nonstop game of cat and mouse as he is pursued across North America by espionage agents trying to kill him and by police who suspect him of murder.

Nominated for three Academy Awards (Best Film Editing, Best Art Direction and Best Original Screenplay), “North by Northwest” was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the United States Library of Congress in 1995 as being culturally, historically or aesthetically significant. Special features on the release include a commentary by screenwriter Ernest Lehman (“West Side Story”), “‘North by Northwest:’ Cinematography, Score and the Art of the Edit,” “Destination Hitchcock: The Making of ‘North by Northwest,’” “The Master’s Touch: Hitchcock’s Signature Style,” “‘North by Northwest:’ One for the Ages” and “A Guided Tour with Alfred Hitchcock.”

Roseland (Drama, Romance)

A trio of romantic — if bittersweet — tales set in New York’s esteemed Roseland Ballroom unfold in 1977’s “Roseland,” newly restored on Blu-ray and DVD from Cohen Film Collection.

In “The Waltz,” recently widowed May (Teresa Wright, “Somewhere in Time”) visits the Roseland to honor the memory of her late husband, and unexpectedly meets Stan (Lou Jacobi, “I.Q.”), who offers her an opportunity for happiness. “The Hustle” finds Russel (Christopher Walken, “The Deer Hunter”) as a gigolo who keeps company with three women (Geraldine Chaplin, “Doctor Zhivago;” Joan Copeland, “Brother Bear;” and Helen Gallagher, “Ryan’s Hope”), but struggles to commit to any of them. Finally, in “The Peabody,” Rosa (Lilia Skala, “Flashdance”), an older Viennese woman, commits to winning a dance competition despite warnings that it could imperil not only her health, but her tenuous relationship with her dance partner as well.

Expertly directed by James Ivory (“Howards End”) from Ruth Prawer Jhabvala’s (“Howards End”) moving screenplay, and produced by Ismail Merchant (“The Remains of the Day”), “Roseland” brims with stories of not only searching for the glories of the past, but also searching for hope in the future. Bonus features on the release include “Conversations from the Quad,” where James Ivory and Larry Kardish discuss the making of “Roseland,” and the film’s restoration trailer.

The Terminator (Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi)

In honor of its 40th anniversary in 2024, “The Terminator” will be released for the first time on 4K Ultra HD and Digital Tuesday, Nov. 19, from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

Disguised as a human, a cyborg assassin known as a Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger, “True Lies”) travels from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton, “Resident Alien”). Sent to protect Sarah is Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn, “The Abyss”), who divulges the coming of Skynet, an artificial intelligence system that will spark a nuclear holocaust. Sarah is targeted because Skynet knows that her unborn son will lead the fight against them. With the virtually unstoppable Terminator in hot pursuit, she and Kyle attempt to escape.

Directed by James Cameron (“Avatar”), “The Terminator” was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the United States Library of Congress in 2008 as being culturally, historically or aesthetically significant. Special features on the release include seven deleted scenes and three featurettes: “Creating ‘The Terminator:’ Visual Effects & Music,” “’The Terminator:’ Closer to the Real Thing” and “Unstoppable Force: The Legacy of ‘The Terminator.’”
