Just in time for the holiday season, the epic sci-fi action-adventure “Tron: Ares” is now available to own on Digital from Walt Disney Studios. The edge-of-your-seat action expands in the new year when the film powers onto 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD beginning Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.

Expanding upon the original “Tron” and “Tron: Legacy” series, “Tron: Ares” explores the battleground between A.I. and humanity, with state-of-the-art visual effects, adrenaline-rushed action and a cutting-edge soundtrack by Nine Inch Nails to heighten the experience. When a highly sophisticated Program named Ares (Jared Leto, “Dallas Buyers Club”) is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, it marks humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings.

Bonus features on the Digital, 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray releases of “Tron: Ares” include three deleted scenes (“Seth’s Date,” “Burning Man” and “Lisberger Cameo”) and five featurettes. Viewers can go on a personal journey with actor-producer Jared Leto, director Joachim Rønning (“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales”) and other cast and crew members for an in-depth making-of look at the film — showcasing its stunning visuals, incredible stunts, cool (but heavy) costumes and next-level sets — in “The Journey to ‘Tron: Ares;’” join Rønning as he peels back the layers of one of the most action-packed sequences in the movie in “Lightcycles on the Loose;” hear Rønning and Leto discuss the striking visual, sonic and artistic philosophies that drive the storytelling both in and out of the Grid in “The Artistry of ‘Tron: Ares;’” listen to the cast reflect on stepping into character, memorable on-set experiences, funny anecdotes and personal insights in “Cast Conversations;” and discover some clever easter eggs and noteworthy cameos in “The Legacy of ‘Tron.’”

For collectors, a limited-edition SteelBook featuring custom artwork and packaging that evokes the franchise’s glow, speed and high-tech aesthetic will also be available for purchase on Jan. 6, 2026. The “Tron 3-Movie Collection” that includes the 1982 classic “Tron,” the visually groundbreaking 2010 film “Tron: Legacy” and “Tron: Ares” is now available to own on Digital as well and will be available for purchase on DVD on Jan. 6, 2026.
