Despicable Me 4 (Adventure, Animation, Comedy, Crime, Family)

One of the summer’s biggest blockbusters, “Despicable Me 4” is now available to own on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

The world’s favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain-League-agent returns for a bold new era of Minions mayhem in Illumination’s “Despicable Me 4.” Gru (voiced by Steve Carell, “The Office”), Lucy (voiced by Kristen Wiig, “Saturday Night Live”) and their girls welcome a new member to the family — Gru Jr. — who is intent on tormenting his dad as a new nemesis shows up and forces the family to go on the run.

The latest chapter in the first animated franchise to ever cross $5 billion is not only packed with nonstop action, but also filled with Illumination’s signature subversive humor. Viewers who purchase “Despicable Me 4” on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD or Digital will now have access to more than an hour of bonus content, including two Minion Mini-Movies. In “Game Over and Over,” the mischievous Minions discover the ability to control one another when they stumble upon a powered-up game controller inside Gru’s lair, unleashing mayhem as they compete for high scores. Then in “Benny’s Birthday,” Benny the Minion finds himself trapped in a time loop of a Minion-style birthday party, encountering uproarious mischief at every turn.

The home entertainment release of “Despicable Me 4” also features nine deleted/extended/alternate scenes (“Class of ’85,” “Minions at the Reunion,” “Minions at Home,” “Big Day Out,” “Karate Round 2,” “Gru vs. Treehouse,” “Defibrillator,” “Mega Minions Mega Mix” and “Mega Minions in Lockdown”); a making-of featurette that gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the fourth installment of the iconic franchise; five How to Draw tutorials (Mega Dave, Mega Mel, Mega Jerry, Mega Gus and Mega Tim) with head of story Habib Louati; seven Meet the Cast featurettes (“Steve Carell: Gru,” “Kristen Wiig: Lucy,” “Joey King: Poppy Prescott,” “Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier and Madison Polan: Gru’s Girls,” “Stephen Colbert & Chloe Fineman: The Prescotts,” “Sofia Vergara: Valentina” and “Will Ferrell: Maxime”); a hilarious montage of recording booth moments with Steve Carell, Will Ferrell and other cast members performing some of their silliest lines (“Despicable Dialogue”); a look back at the most nefarious villains from past “Despicable Me” and “Minions” movies (“Rogues Gallery”); and a look at the development of the five most unique Minions to date (“Mega Minion Mayhem”).

TV Series

Heels: Season 2 (Drama, Sports)

Step back into the ring with “Heels: Season 2,” now available to own on Digital from Lionsgate.

In this brand-new season of the Starz original series, the Spade brothers (Stephen Amell, “Arrow,” and Alexander Ludwig, “Vikings”) must overcome their sibling rivalry while the rest of their small-town wrestling family navigate the effects of their relationship, as well as the negative, toxic impact left behind from Tom Spade (David James Elliott, “JAG”). Crystal (Kelli Berglund, “The Goldbergs”) has the belt and Willie (Mary McCormack, “The West Wing”) steps in as her new mentor. The DWL has never had a female champion before; how will the rest of the league act, the town of Duffy, but more importantly — the Spade brothers?

Young Sheldon: The Complete Series (Comedy)

Relive CBS’ critically acclaimed No. 1 comedy series “Young Sheldon” with “Young Sheldon: The Complete Series,” now available to own on DVD and Digital from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

From creators and executive producers Chuck Lorre (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Steven Molaro (“Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage”), “Young Sheldon” centers on Sheldon Cooper, a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science — which isn’t always helpful in a land where church and football are king. While the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him.

For 12 years on “The Big Bang Theory,” audiences came to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. This single-camera, half-hour comedy takes viewers through his childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become. The series stars Iain Armitage as Sheldon; Zoe Perry as his mom, Mary; Lance Barber as his dad, George; Annie Potts as his Meemaw; Montana Jordan as his brother, Georgie; Raegan Revord as his sister, Missy; Emily Osment as his eventual sister-in-law, Mandy; and Jim Parsons (“The Big Bang Theory”) as the voice of Sheldon.

The comprehensive DVD box set includes all 141 episodes of “Young Sheldon” plus six behind-the-scenes featurettes. For fans just looking to complete the “Young Sheldon” DVD collection they already have been building, “Young Sheldon: The Complete Seventh Season” is also now available to own on DVD and Digital.
