Eagles of the Republic (Action, Drama, Thriller)

Presented in Arabic with optional English subtitles, “Eagles of the Republic” debuts on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, June 23, from Cohen Media Group.

Egypt’s most adored actor, George Fahmy (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”), is pressured to star in a film commissioned by the highest authorities. He reluctantly accepts the role and finds himself thrown into the inner circle of power. Like a moth drawn to the flame, he begins an affair with the mysterious wife of the general overseeing the film.

Eraser (Action, Crime, Thriller)

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, “Eraser” is now available to own for the first time in 4K resolution with High Dynamic Range on Digital and as a 4K UHD Blu-ray disc from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment.

U.S. marshal John Kruger (Arnold Schwarzenegger, “The Terminator”) “erases” the lives and identities of people entering the Witness Protection Program. When his latest charge (Vanessa Williams, “Ugly Betty”) uncovers a deal to put a new superweapon in the wrong hands, it’s a do-or-die assignment. Kruger embarks on a high-octane action spree to protect her.

Directed by Chuck Russell (“The Mask”), the newly remastered film includes new bonus content featuring Russell, Williams and executive producer Michael Tadross (“I Am Legend”) reflecting on the making of “Eraser” 30 years later. Viewers can dive deeper into the star power, early CGI and technological innovations that defined the transition from the late-1980s analog action into the emerging digital era to follow in the all-new featurette “‘90s Action Thriller Reimagined,” and discover how Arnold Schwarzenegger’s career shifted from the muscle-forward characters of the ’80s into a sleeker, more emotionally grounded, action identity in the all-new featurette “Reinventing the Modern Action Hero — The Evolution of Arnold.”
