Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel co-star in “A Kind of Murder,” a psychological thriller available on Blu-ray, Blu-ray combo (Blu-ray and DVD), DVD and Digital HD on Tuesday March 21.

Adapted from Patricia Highsmith’s novel “The Blunderer,” the suspenseful murder mystery follows Walter Stackhouse (Wilson), a rich, successful, unhappily married architect in 1960s Manhattan. While wishing he were free of his beautiful but emotionally damaged wife Clara (Biel), Walter becomes obsessed with Marty Kimmel (Eddie Marsan), a man suspected of brutally murdering his wife.

Walter and Marty’s lives become dangerously intertwined and ultimately catch the attention of Corby (“Mad Men’s” Vincent Kartheiser), an ambitious police detective. Convinced Walter has become Marty’s copycat killer, Corby tirelessly investigates both murder suspects. Walter’s string of lies, his affair with a jazz-club singer named Ellie (Haley Bennett), and his own guilty thoughts seem to implicate him. A high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse follows.

Special features including behind-the-scenes commentary from director Andy Goddard (“The Outsiders”), a glimpse of the ‘60s fashions featured in the film and an in-depth look at each of the main characters. The Blu-ray combo is available for a suggested retail price of $32.98, the Blu-ray disc is priced at $29.98 SRP and the DVD sells for $26.98 SRP.

In Series 3, the detectives investigate the death of a Lord of the Ringz tour guide, a real-life Clue board game gone wrong, the death of a classic-car enthusiast and someone killing the Christmas spirit.

“The Brokenwood Mysteries” is filmed on location in New Zealand’s picturesque North Island. The four-disc DVD and two-disc Blu-ray sets highlight four feature-length, standalone mysteries featuring compelling characters, dry humor, and piquant wit ($59.99 each, AcornOnline.com).
