Hadestown: The Musical (Drama, Musical)
Winner of eight Tony Awards in 2019, including Best Musical, and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, “Hadestown: The Musical” is now available On Demand from Bleecker Street and LD Entertainment.
Viewers can watch the live theater capture from the West End production from the comfort of their home, featuring the five original principals of the Broadway company (Reeve Carney, André De Shields, Amber Gray, Eva Noblezada and Patrick Page). The genre-defying musical blends modern American folk music with New Orleans-inspired jazz to reimagine a sweeping ancient tale. Following two intertwining love stories — that of young dreamers Orpheus (Carney, “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark”) and Eurydice (Noblezada, “Miss Saigon”), and that of King Hades (Page, “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical”) and his wife, Persephone (Gray, “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812”) — “Hadestown: The Musical” invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back.
