Clerks III (Comedy)

Written and directed by Kevin Smith, the hilarious and heartfelt film “Clerks III” is now available on Blu-ray and DVD from Lionsgate.

Following a massive heart attack, Randal (Jeff Anderson) enlists his friends and fellow clerks Dante (Brian O’Halloran), Elias (Trevor Fehrman), Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith) to make a movie immortalizing his life at the convenience store that started it all.

Special features on the release include an audio commentary with Smith and actors Brian O’Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Trevor Fehrman and Austin Zajur (Blockchain Coltrane); deleted and alternate scenes; and the movie’s theatrical trailer. The Blu-ray release also includes two exclusive extras: the “Clerks III” documentary and the “We’re Not Even Supposed to be Here Today: 3 Decades of ‘Clerks’” documentary.

Halloween Ends (Horror, Thriller)

Golden Globe and BAFTA winner Jamie Lee Curtis (the “Halloween” franchise, “Scream Queens”) is back as Laurie Strode in “Halloween Ends,” debuting on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, Dec. 27, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The movie is also now available to own on Digital and is currently streaming on Peacock.

The most acclaimed and revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic, terrifying finale as Laurie Strode (Curtis) faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney). Michael hasn’t been seen for four years after the events of “Halloween Kills.” Laurie lives with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and has chosen to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life. When a young man is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, a cascade of violence and terror is ignited with a final confrontation between Laurie and Michael unlike any ever captured on-screen. Only one of them will survive.

Produced by Malek Akkad (2007 and 2018’s “Halloween”), Bill Block (“Halloween Kills”) and Jason Blum (“The Black Phone”), “Halloween Ends” features more than 30 minutes of never-before-seen bonus content. Extras include six deleted and extended scenes (“Michael Shakes Things Up,” “Joan’s Bunny Slam,” “Corey Reflects Upon Himself,” “Ronald’s Stuck at Work,” “Margo Gets the Boot” and “Joan’s Recipe for Disaster”), featurettes with Jamie Lee Curtis and the cast and crew, a gag reel and a feature commentary with co-writer/director David Gordon Green (2018’s “Halloween,” “Halloween Kills”), actors Andi Matichak (2018’s “Halloween,” “Halloween Kills”) and Rohan Campbell (“Virgin River,” “The Hardy Boys”), co-producer/first assistant director Atilla Salih Yücer (2018’s “Halloween”) and production assistant Hugo Garza (2018’s “Halloween”).

Strange World (Animation, Action, Adventure)

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 61st animated feature “Strange World” is now available to watch on all major digital platforms and streaming on Disney+. The film will also debut on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023.

“Strange World” introduces a legendary family of explorers — the Clades — as they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob called Splat; Legend, the family dog; and a slew of ravenous creatures. The voice cast includes Academy Award- and Tony Award-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal as Searcher Clade, a family man who finds himself out of his element on an unpredictable mission; Emmy- and two-time Golden Globe-nominee Dennis Quaid as Searcher’s larger-than-life explorer father, Jaeger; comedian, actor, writer, filmmaker and musician Jaboukie Young-White as Searcher’s 16-year-old, adventure-seeking son, Ethan; actress, producer and bestselling author Gabrielle Union as Meridian Clade, an accomplished pilot and Searcher’s partner in all things; and critically acclaimed actress, producer, director and fine artist Lucy Liu as Callisto Mal, Avalonia’s fearless leader who spearheads the exploration into the strange world.

Bonus features on the Digital release include four deleted scenes (“The Ballad of Jaeger Clade,” “Lightning Lynx,” “Funerals and Promises” and “Ethan and Searcher”), outtakes and four behind-the-scenes featurettes: “Creature Feature,” “Strange Science,” “Anatomy of a Scene: Creating a Strange World” and “The Hidden Secrets of ‘Strange World.’”
