Aporia (Drama, Sci-Fi)

Writer/director Jared Moshé’s (“The Ballad of Lefty Brown”) sci-fi drama “Aporia” debuts on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, Sept. 12, from Well Go USA Entertainment.

Since losing her husband Mal (Edi Gathegi, “For All Mankind”) in a drunk-driving incident, Sophie (Judy Greer, “13 Going on 30”) has struggled to manage crippling grief, a full-time job and the demands of parenting her devastated teenage daughter (Faithe Herman, the “Shazam!” franchise). When her husband’s best friend Jabir (Payman Maadi, “Bomb: A Love Story”), a former physicist, reveals that he has been building a time-bending machine that could restore her former life, Sophie will be faced with an impossible choice — and unforeseeable consequences.

Bonus materials on the release include the film’s trailer and a behind-the-scenes featurette.

Cobweb (Horror, Thriller)

Fear consumes a small family when “Cobweb” arrives on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, Sept. 12, from Lionsgate.

Eight-year-old Peter (Woody Norman, “C’mon C’mon”) is plagued by a mysterious constant tap, tap from inside his bedroom wall — a tapping that his parents insist is all in his imagination. As Peter’s fear intensifies, he believes that his parents (“Mean Girls’” Lizzy Caplan and “The Boys’” Antony Starr) could be hiding a terrible, dangerous secret and questions their trust. And for a child, what could be more frightening than that?

Special features on the release include three featurettes: “Becoming ‘The Girl,’” “Through the Eyes of a Child” and “A Primal Fear.”

Joy Ride (Comedy)

Four unlikely friends embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure in “Joy Ride,” arriving on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, Sept. 12, from Lionsgate. The hilarious and unapologetically explicit story of identity and self-discovery is also now available to own on Digital.

When Audrey’s (Ashley Park, “Emily in Paris”) business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the aid of Lolo (Sherry Cola, “Good Trouble”), her irreverent, childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat (Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu, “Everything Everywhere All at Once”), her college friend turned Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Sabrina Wu), Lolo’s eccentric cousin. Their no-holds-barred, epic experience becomes a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.

Special features on the release include a deleted scene, the film’s theatrical trailer, a WAP Sing-Along and the featurettes “WAP Solo Cast Choreography,” “A Place of Joy: ‘R’ is for Representation,” “Adele Lim, Director: A Siren Call to Hollywood,” “Never Too Much: A Comedic Lovefest” and “A Grand Adventure: Making ‘Joy Ride.’”
