jackass: best and last (Comedy, Documentary)

Grab your buddies and get ready to laugh harder than ever — one last time — as “jackass: best and last” is now available to own on Digital from Paramount Home Entertainment. The sidesplitting comedy debuts on DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Johnny Knoxville (“The Dukes of Hazzard”) and the gang are back for one final ride. Packed with all-new stunts and never-before-seen stupidity, along with the greatest hits and biggest laughs from the past, “jackass: best and last” is a joyously raucous celebration of all the mischievous camaraderie that fans have come to love and expect from the “jackass” crew over the past 25 years.

The Digital and Blu-ray releases of “jackass: best and last” offer even more laughs thanks to a 17-minute deleted scenes montage featuring Knoxville and the “jackass” crew literally egging each other on, playing hardball and laughing through the pain. Deleted scenes include Steve-O (“Wildboyz”) trying to lay three eggs dressed like a chicken, the missing “Escape Room from Hell” bit with Dark Shark and a pigeon, a fun “Two Man Wetsuit” bit with Dave England and Jasper, an extended “Truth or Dare” sequence, Steve-O performing an oral pedicure on Zach Holmes, and more. Consider yourself forewarned — your stomach will hurt from laughing so hard.

Mars Attacks! (Comedy, Sci-Fi)

In honor of the film’s 30th anniversary in December, “Mars Attacks!” is now available to own for the first time in 4K resolution with high dynamic range on Digital and 4K UHD Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.

Superstar Jack Nicholson (“One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”) as the President of the United States greeting invaders from outer space? Anything can and does happen when the twisted mind of director Tim Burton (“Beetlejuice”) plunges planet Earth into complete pandemonium in this all-star sci-fi spoof that also features Pierce Brosnan (“The World is Not Enough”), Glenn Close (“Fatal Attraction”), Danny DeVito (“Taxi”) and Annette Bening (“American Beauty”).

The newly remastered film includes two new featurettes on Digital and 4K UHD Blu-ray that reflect on the making of “Mars Attacks!” 30 years later. Viewers can listen to its filmmakers swap stories about working with Tim Burton on one of the 1990s’ wackiest alien-invasion films in “Looking Back on ‘Mars Attacks!’” and hear the filmmakers explore the distinctive style of the film and reveal how then-cutting-edge CGI shaped its iconic look in “Ack! Ack! Aesthetic.”
