‘American Idol XIII’ Announces Dream Team: Jennifer Lopez, Harry Connick Jr. and Keith Urban

HOLLYWOOD—After months of speculation on who will replace the judges that left “American Idol” Grammy Award-winning and platinum-selling recording artist, actress, movie and television producer and entrepreneur Jennifer Lopez returns to “American Idol XIII.” A She will be joined by another Grammy and Emmy award winning artist, Harry Connick Jr.

“#IDOL2014TheRemix,” tweeted Lopez.

“I have always been a huge fan of ‘American Idol’ and really enjoyed my time as a mentor on the show,” said Connick, Jr. “And I am honored that they’ve asked me to be a judge this season. As an entertainer, I am truly excited to bring my perspective to ‘American Idol,’ and to help emerging performers find their way.”

Returning for his second season is country music artist Keith Urban, rounding out the judging panel.

“I think this season of ‘Idol’ is gonna be a blast,” said Urban.  ”New team, new energy and a whole new field of artists to be discovered and given a chance!”

For Randy Jackson fans, the former “Idol” judge returns as an in-house mentor who will lend his industry and ‘Idol’ expertise to the contestants.

The so-called “American Idol XIII Dream Team” also includes Ryan Seacrest, who returns as host.
