A Man Called Otto (Comedy, Drama)

Based on the No. 1 New York Times bestseller “A Man Called Ove,” “A Man Called Otto” arrives on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, March 14, from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film is also currently available on Digital.

Otto Anderson (Tom Hanks) is a grump who no longer sees purpose in his life following the loss of his wife. Otto is ready to end it all, but his plans are interrupted when a lively young family moves in next door and he meets his match in the quick-witted Marisol (Mariana Treviño, “Club de Cuervos”). She challenges him to see life differently, leading to an unlikely friendship that turns his world around. A heartwarming and funny story about love, loss and life, “A Man Called Otto” shows that family can sometimes be found in the most unexpected places.

Viewers can dive deeper into “A Man Called Otto” with exclusive bonus content found on the Blu-ray, DVD and Digital releases, including a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film (“Breaking the Rules: Making ‘A Man Called Otto’”) with its incredible cast and crew. Other extras include a deleted scene, the “’Til You’re Home” music video and “In the Studio with Rita Wilson & Sebastián Yatra” where viewers can hear how the collaboration for the film’s hauntingly beautiful end credit song came to life.

The Whale (Drama)

Brendan Fraser’s Academy Award-winning performance in “The Whale” arrives on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, March 14, from A24 and Lionsgate.

Directed by Darren Aronofsky (“Requiem for a Dream,” “Black Swan,” “mother!”) and based on the play by Samuel D. Hunter, “The Whale” is an intimate and gut-wrenching exploration of forgiveness, redemption and humanity. Fraser stars as Charlie, a reclusive English teacher who attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter.

Also starring Golden Globe nominee Hong Chau (“Downsizing”), Academy Award nominee Samantha Morton (“In America”) and Sadie Sink (“Stranger Things”), “The Whale” includes two making-of featurettes on Blu-ray and DVD: “People Are Amazing: Making ‘The Whale’” and “The Sounds of the Sea: Scoring ‘The Whale.’”

Created by Emmy nominees Michelle and Robert King (“The Good Wife”), “The Good Fight: The Final Season” arrives on DVD Tuesday, March 14, from Paramount Home Entertainment.
