Cocaine Bear (Comedy, Thriller)

One of the most talked about movies of the year, “Cocaine Bear” races onto Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, April 18, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The dark comedy is also now available on Digital and streaming on Peacock.

Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner’s plane crash, missing cocaine and the black bear that ate it, “Cocaine Bear” finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500-pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow — and blood.

Starring Keri Russell (“Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”), Margo Martindale (“American Crime Story”) and the late Ray Liotta (“Goodfellas”), “Cocaine Bear” comes loaded with behind-the-scenes extras on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital, including an alternate ending, deleted and extended scenes and a gag reel. Other extras include a feature commentary with director/producer Elizabeth Banks (“Charlie’s Angels”) and producer Max Handelman and three featurettes: “Doing Lines,” which features the cast and filmmakers reading lines from the script; “UnBEARable Bloodbath: Dissecting the Kills,” which gives viewers a bear’s-eye view into some of the film’s hilarious and gory kill scenes; and “All Roads Lead to Cokey: The Making of ‘Cocaine Bear.’”

Magic Mike’s Last Dance (Comedy, Drama)

Embark on Magic Mike’s last hurrah when “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” dances onto Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, April 18, from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The film is also currently available on Digital.

In “Magic Mike’s Last Dance,” “Magic” Mike Lane (Channing Tatum, “21 Jump Street”) takes to the stage again after a lengthy hiatus, following a business deal that went bust, leaving him broke and taking bartender gigs in Florida. For what he hopes will be one last hurrah, Mike heads to London with a wealthy socialite (Salma Hayek Pinault, “Desperado”) who lures him with an offer he can’t refuse — and an agenda all her own. With everything on the line, once Mike discovers what she truly has in mind, will he — and the roster of hot new dancers he’ll have to whip into shape — be able to pull it off?

Directed by Steven Soderbergh (“Traffic”), “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” also stars Ayub Khan Din (“Ackley Bridge”), newcomer Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed (“We Are Lady Parts”), Vicki Pepperdine (“Johnny English Strikes Again”) and dancers from the “Magic Mike Live” shows in London and Las Vegas. Bonus features on the Blu-ray and Digital releases include the featurette “Magic Mike’s New Moves” and a deleted scene.
