Horror is in store in “The Invoking 2,” available Tuesday, Oct. 6 on DVD and Digital HD.  Featuring terrifying tales of the supernatural, the sequel to the 2013 supernatural thriller stars Allen Lowman (“Bonnie & Clyde vs. Dracula”), Meghan McNicol (“Motives & Murders: Cracking The Case”) and Chara Gannett (“Justice is Mind”).  This sequel follows the paths of hapless victims who experience the horrifying terror of confronting demonic forces, murderous poltergeists and other evil entities that are dead set on claiming their souls.

The supernatural thriller is co-directed by Jamie DeWolf (“Smoked”), Jay Holben (“Black Tar Road”), Corey Norman (“The Hanover House”), Adam O’Brien (“ZombieWorld”), Patrick Rea (“Nailbiter”), and first time director Jamie Root.  “The Invoking 2” is available on DVD for a suggested retail price of $27.97.

Former NBA player Rick Fox (“One Tree Hill,” “Sharknado 3”), Michael Dudikoff (“American Ninja” series, “Olympus Has Fallen”), Molly Hagan (“iZombie,” “Instant Mom”), Ed Quinn (“Revenge,” “True Blood”), Olympian LoLo Jones and real Navy SEALs star in “Navy SEALs vs. Zombies,” available on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand Tuesday, Oct. 6 from Anchor Bay Entertainment. NASCAR driver and Hollywood stuntman Stanton Barrett makes his directorial debut at the helm of this action horror film.

After losing all contact with the Vice President during a routine campaign stop in Louisiana, the U.S. Government sends in a team of Navy SEALs to make the rescue. Dropped into a war zone, the SEALs quickly discover that they aren’t dealing with a normal enemy. The city is under siege by hordes of fast moving, flesh eating undead. The infection is spreading and urban warfare has been unleashed. With no cure in sight and time running out, the elite unit has to survive their most horrific mission of all. “Navy SEALs vs. Zombies” is available on Blu-ray and DVD for the suggested retail price of $26.99 and $22.98, respectively. It also is available On Demand.

Season One of the award-winning political thriller “The Code” is in the vein of “State of Play” and “Line of Duty.” It makes its DVD debut Tuesday, Oct. 6 from Acorn. This Australian drama follows several interweaving storylines that start with a mysterious accident and the death of an Aboriginal girl in the Outback. Her former teacher, Alex (“Xena: Warrior Princess”) becomes involved with journalist Ned Banks (Dan Spielman, “Offspring”) and his brother, Jesse (Ashley Zukerman, “The Pacific”) a genius computer hacker, to try to unravel the mystery. The mystery series also stars David Wenham and Adam Garcia.

When two brothers uncover footage of a crime, they are targeted by powerful and dangerous figures that may be connected to the highest levels of national politics. The series premiered on Australia’s ABC1 in 2014, and a second season currently is in production. The two-disc set features all six episodes of the first season, plus a bonus behind-the-scenes featurette. The suggested retail price is $39.99 on AcornOnline.com). The full season also is available to watch at any time on the streaming service Acorn.TV.

Experience the story of one small superhero who had the courage to inspire millions when “Batkid Begins” arrives on DVD and Digital HD on Tuesday, Oct. 6 from Warner Bros. Entertainment. The heartwarming documentary chronicles the day when one city (San Francisco) and the world came together to grant a 5-year-old cancer patient his fondest wish of playing his favorite DC Comics superhero. See what happens when the event goes viral and reveals surprising truths about what happens when a nerve is touched in this digital age. Directed and produced by Dana Nachman, the film was co-written by Nachman and Kurt Kuenne. It is available for the suggested retail price of $28.98. The DVD features the theatrical version of the film in standard definition. It also can be purchased via digital retailers.

Also available on DVD and Digital HD Tuesday, Oct. 6 is the supernatural thriller “June,” which tells the story of 9-year-old girl (Kennedy Brice, “The Walking Dead”), who has been shuffled in and out of foster homes. Though she tries to be good, no matter where she goes, a trail of chaos and terror seems to follow. When June is sent to live with a new couple, Lilly (Victoria Pratt, “Patient Killer”) and Dave (Casper Van Dien, “Shiver”), it looks as though things may finally work out. Unfortunately, this innocent child, with the face of an angel, is possessed by an ancient, malevolent entity that has hijacked her soul. June has to fight to defeat the demon within or her new family and mankind itself are doomed.

In the heartwarming comedy “Road Hard,” Bruce Madsen (Adam Carolla, “The Adam Carolla Show”) is a stand up comedian forced to go back on the road after his movie and television career has run dry, playing one dingy comedy club after another, spending endless nights in budget hotel rooms and always flying coach. It is available on Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Amidst trying to revitalize his career, rekindle his love life and put his daughter through college, Bruce knows one thing for sure—he must get off the road. Road Hard is the story of that journey. The comedy also co-stars fellow comedians Jay Mohr, Howie Mandel, David Koechner, David Alan Grier, Phil Rosenthal, Larry Miller and Diane Farr. Carolla, who previously directed the documentary “Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman”) wrote and directed the film.

Extras on the Blu-ray and DVD include a making-of featurette, outtakes and more. “Road Hard” is available on Blu-ray and DVD for a suggested retail price of $26.99 and $22.98, respectively.

Dove Cameron (Disney Channel’s “Descendants”) stars in R.L. Stine’s “Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls,” an all-new fantasy adventure for the entire family, is now available on DVD and Digital HD from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.

When a traveling Hall of Horrors show arrives in the town of Danville, high school friends can’t wait to get spooked.  The monsters, zombies, and ghouls are completely lifelike, and the villainous showman, Dr. Hysteria, and his enchanting assistant, Lilith, really know how to turn up the scares. But when Beth discovers a haunted cabinet backstage that traps the souls of lost teens, it’s up to the gang to stop the mayhem before they are trapped forever.

The spooky mystery is based on a story by the author of the successful “Goosebumps” books, and co-stars Katherine McNamara (“Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials”), Ryan McCarten (“Liv and Maddie”) and Tiffany Espensen (“Kirby Buckets”).

Talk about a time warp. The 40th Anniversary edition of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is now available on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Featuring an all-star cast, including: Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf, campy musical has became a pop cultural phenomenon passed down from generation to generation. After four decades, it’s back stronger than ever with an all-new Ultimate Collector’s Edition, featuring limited edition packaging, exclusive collectible pink surgical gloves, fishnet stockings and a soundtrack.

It also is packed with featurettes highlighting past celebrations and midnight screenings, deleted musical scenes, 11 outtakes, alternate endings, commentaries by Richard O’Brien and Patricia Quinn (Magenta), photo galleries and more. Extras include a Rocky-oke: Sing It, which includes 18 show-stopping musical numbers from the hugely popular soundtrack: “Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me,” “Sweet Transvestite,” “The Time Warp” and more.

The Blu-ray also features incredible HD featurettes, as well as a photo gallery from Rock ‘N’ Roll’s seminal photographer Mick Rock, which dives deeper into Rock’s experience capturing the moment on-set and behind-the-scenes of the 1975 film. “Mick Rock’s Picture Show (A Gallery)” contains more than 70 high-resolution images from his archives.
A Lou Adler/Michael White Production directed by Jim Sharman, this cult classic follows sweethearts Brad (Bostwick) and Janet (Sarandon) as they are stuck with a flat tire during a storm and discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Curry), a sweet transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (O’Brien). Through elaborate dance numbers and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a Frankenstein-like creature named Rocky.
Since its 1975 release, The Rocky Horror Picture Show quickly made its mark as one of the most-beloved cult films of all time. It holds the record as the longest-running theatrical releases of all-time and currently plays at weekly midnight showings in over 300 theaters across the U.S. and elsewhere around the world. The film’s cultural exposure and acclaim has extended far beyond the theatrical release, as the original “Rocky Horror” stage show continues to delight audiences worldwide.

Comedic actress Melissa McCarthy (“Bridesmaids,” “Mike & Molly”) embarks on the mission of a lifetime as secret agent Susan Cooper in the comedy caper “Spy.” The newly released Blu-ray release includes two versions of the film: the original theatrical and never-before-seen unrated cut.  The DVD features the theatrical version only. Both the theatrical version and unrated cut is available on Digital HD.

The ensemble cast features action veterans Jason Statham and Jude Law as well as McCarthy’s “Bridesmaid” co-star Rose Byrne, who each deliver performances that helped turn this offbeat spy comedy into a summer blockbuster hit that raked in more than $100 million in the domestic box office. The cast also includes Miranda Hart, Allison Janney, Bobby Cannavale, Peter Serafinowicz and rapper 50 Cent.

Helmed by Paul Feig, who previously directed McCarthy in “The Heat” and “Bridesmaids,” the comedy finds deskbound CIA analyst Susan Cooper (McCarthy) about to become the world’s newest, and unlikeliest, secret weapon. When her partner (Law) falls off the grid and another top agent (Statham) is compromised, Susan volunteers to go deep undercover and bring down a deadly arms dealer.

The unrated Blu-ray edition contains several bonus features, including two gag reels, 15 alternate scenes and an all-new unrated cut with an extra 10 minutes. With more than two hours of never-before-seen footage, fans of the film will be able to join the fun on set as the cast cracks up while doing Feig’s bidding, learn just how handsy the world of espionage can get for McCarthy, and see just how all those bats made it into the CIA Headquarters and onto Susan’s desserts.

Fifteen classified alternate scenes and three redacted scenes feature Statham as audiences have never seen him before. Fans can also join the filmmakers, including Feig and producer Jessie Henderson, as they talk about how the comedy came to life while watching it
