HOLLYWOOD—Giancarlo Esposito attended the press conference today for Disney’s upcoming effects-laden update of “The Jungle Book,” opening April 15. Esposito provides the voice of Akela, the fearless leader of the wolf pack that takes man cub Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi) in as one of their own. Of course, “Breaking Bad” fans will forever remember the actor for his chilling portrayal of fast food restaurateur/drug kingpin Gus Fring. I caught up with Esposito after the press conference to ask whether Gus will be making a guest appearance on a future episode of AMC’s “BB” spinoff/prequel “Better Call Saul.” Here’s what he told Front Row Features: “Oh, I don’t know. It’s possible. Anything’s possible.” Then he smiled and walked away.

Other infamous characters from the earlier series have made appearances on “Better Call Saul,” including Tuco Salamanca (played by Raymond Cruz) and Hector “Tio” Salamanca (played by Mark Margolis). Could Gus be on the way? Stay tuned.
