The Amateur (Action, Spy, Thriller)

Twentieth Century Studios’ “The Amateur” debuts on 4K UHD and Blu-ray Tuesday, July 8. The high-stakes spy thriller is also now available to own on Digital.

Charlie Heller (Rami Malek, “Bohemian Rhapsody”) is a brilliant, but deeply introverted decoder for the CIA whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a London terrorist attack. When his supervisors refuse to take action, Charlie takes matters into his own hands. He embarks on a dangerous trek across the globe to track down those responsible, his intelligence serving as the ultimate weapon for eluding his pursuers and achieving his revenge.

Audiences can uncover additional intel through bonus features that shed new light on Charlie’s world, including five deleted scenes (“Sarah Wonders How Charlie Can Trust His CIA Bosses,” “Henderson Blasts Heller for Failing a Training Exercise,” “Heller Tracks Gretchen Through Paris,” “A Third Assassin Chases Hellers Through the Hotel Basement” and “Heller Asks Inquiline Some Personal Questions”) and four featurettes. Viewers can join the cast and crew as they reflect on what drew them to the project in “The Team;” explore how the film’s production combined real-world locations with intricate set designs to create a visually stunning and immersive world in “The World;” go behind the scenes as the creative team uncovers how Charlie’s ingenious plan involving the sky pool was conceived, planned and executed in “The Pool;” and listen in as Academy Award-winning composer Volker Bertelmann (“All Quiet on the Western Front”) and director James Hawes (“Black Mirror”) talk about the challenge of creating the score’s various themes to bring emotion and drama to the film in “The Score.”

Thunderbolts* (Action, Adventure, Crime, Drama, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Superhero)

Marvel Studios’ “Thunderbolts*” is now available to own on Digital from Walt Disney Studios. The film makes its explosive entry on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD Tuesday, July 29.

Marvel Studios assembles an unconventional team of antiheroes with Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh, “Black Widow”), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan, “Captain America: The Winter Solider”), Red Guardian (David Harbour, “Black Widow”), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen, “Ant-Man and the Wasp”), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko, “Black Widow”) and John Walker (Wyatt Russell, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”). After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”), these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission. Forced to confront the darkest corners of their pasts, will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite before it’s too late?

The Digital, 4K UHD and Blu-ray releases of “Thunderbolts*” include hours of exclusive bonus content, including two brief deleted scenes (“Door is Unliftable” and “Gary Announcement”), a 3-minute gag reel and a feature-length filmmaker commentary by director Jake Schreier (“Skeleton Crew”). Three behind-the-scenes featurettes are also included on each release. Viewers can spend some time with the cast and crew of “Thunderbolts*” as they divulge how the film’s fictional team of superpowered mavericks, misfits and antiheroes was assembled in “Assembling a Team to Remember;” discover the eclectic locations and astounding production design that helped make “Thunderbolts*” a rousing reality in “Around the World and Back Again;” and dive deep into the making of three different characters all performed by Lewis Pullman (“Top Gun: Maverick”) in “All About Bob, Sentry & The Void.”
