Venom

One of Marvel’s most enigmatic and complex characters comes home in “Venom,” making its debut on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD Tuesday Dec. 18. It also is available now on Digital.

This comic book blockbuster has grossed more than $800 million in theaters worldwide to date. It is directed by Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland”) and features an all-star cast including Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises,” “Mad Max: Fury Road”), Michelle Williams (“The Greatest Showman”), Riz Ahmed (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” “The Night Of”), Jenny Slate (“Zootopia”) and Woody Harrelson (“Zombieland,” “The Hunger Games” franchise).

“Venom” arrives filled with engaging bonus materials that will give fans even more of the action that they loved in theaters with over an hour of new content. The special features include an exciting Venom Mode, where fans will be able to engage with informative pop-ups throughout the film to reveal hidden references to the comics, deleted and extended scenes, a mini documentary “From Symbiote to Screen” that covers the history of Venom in comics and his journey to the big screen. Also, a behind-the-scenes peek at some of the stunts, a look at Ruben Fleischer’s journey behind the lens, a featurette about what it took to create Venom on screen, “Designing Venom. Symbiote Secrets” reveals Easter Eggs and hidden references in the film Other bonus materials include multiple pre-visualization versions of some of your favorite scenes, Eminem’s incredible video for his hit song “Venom,” “Sunflower” from Post Malone and Swae-Lee (from “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”) and a sneak peek at “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.”

Eddie Brock (Hardy) is a broken man after he loses everything including his job and fiancee. Just when his life is at its lowest, he becomes host to an alien symbiote which results in extraordinary superpowers—transforming him into Venom. Will these powers be enough for this new lethal protector to defeat great evil forces, especially against the far stronger and more weaponized symbiote rival, Riot?

“Venom” was written by Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg and Kelly Marcel and produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach and Amy Pascal.

The House with a Clock in its Walls

“The House with a Clock in its Walls” arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand Tuesday Dec. 18. It also is available now on Digital and via the digital movie app Movies Anywhere.

Based on the classic children’s book, the home entertainment editions have more than an hour of bonus content, including an alternate beginning and ending, stunning featurettes, deleted scenes, a hilarious gag reel, and feature commentary.

The family friendly film stars Jack Black (“Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle,” “Kung Fu Panda”), Cate Blanchett (“Ocean’s 8,” “Thor: Ragnarok”) and Owen Vaccaro (“Daddy’s Home,” “Mother’s Day”) arrive as Uncle Jonathan, Mrs. Zimmerman and Lewis Barnavelt. In the most unexpected places, fantastical events, miraculous twists and suspense filled moments ensue in this captivating adventure. In the tradition of Amblin classics, master frightener and director Eli Roth’s “The House with a Clock in its Walls” is directed by Eli Roth (“The Green Inferno,” “Cabin Fever”).

Lewis Barnavelt (Vaccaro) goes to live with his Uncle Jonathan (Black) in a creaky and creepy mansion with an eerie ticking heart. But when Lewis soon finds out he’s in the presence of magic practiced by his uncle and neighbor Mrs. Zimmerman (Blanchett), his new town’s dreary aura boosts to life in an exciting and dangerous way. Based on the beloved children’s classic book written by John Bellairs and illustrated by Edward Gorey, “The House with a Clock in its Walls” is written by Eric Kripke (creator of the TV series “Supernatural”) and co-stars Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks,” “Inside Out”), Colleen Camp (“Clue”), Renee Elise Goldsberry (“One Life to Live”) and Sunny Suljic (“The Killing of a Sacred Deer”). Kripke also serves as a producer along with Mythology Entertainment’s Brad Fischer (“Shutter Island”) and James Vanderbilt (“Zodiac”).

The Super

Whenever you think you’re alone, just remember that he’s always watching when “The Super,” arriving on Blu-ray (plus Digital), DVD, and Digital Tuesday Dec. 18 from Lionsgate. This horror film is currently available On Demand.

Starring Val Kilmer, this taut, suspenseful thriller will have you looking over your shoulder … even when you’re home. Produced by the creator of TV’s “Law & Order” and “Chicago P.D.,” written by John J. McLaughlin (“Black Swan”), and directed by Stephan Rick, “The Super” Blu-ray and DVD will be available for the suggested retail price (SRP) of $21.99 and $19.98, respectively.

Weightless

Join a father and son on their journey of survival when “Weightless” arrives Tuesday Dec. 18 on Digital and On Demand.

Alessandro Nivola (“You Were Never Really Here”) stars alongside Julianne Nicholson (“I, Tonya”) and Johnny Knoxville (“Jackass” franchise), in an entirely new kind of role for the famed stunt performer. “Weightless is the story of a challenging quest for belonging and will be available digitally for $12.99 SRP.

Monster Party

RLJE Films will release “Monster Party” on DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday Dec. 18.

Written and directed by Chris von Hoffmann, the horror-thriller stars Julian McMahon (“Nip/Tuck”), Robin Tunney (“The Craft,” “The Mentalist”), Sam Strike (“Leatherface”), Erin Moriarty (“Blood Father”), Lance Reddick (“John Wick”), Brandon Micheal Hall (“Search Party”), Virginia Gardner (Halloween) and Diego Boneta (“Scream Queens”). RLJE Films will release the film on DVD for an SRP of $27.97 and Blu-ray for an SRP of $28.97.

Three thieves plan a daring heist posing as waiters at a fancy Malibu mansion dinner party in hopes of paying off an urgent debt.  When their plan goes horribly wrong, the trio realizes the dinner guests are not as innocent as they seem and their simple cash grab becomes a violent and desperate battle to get out of the house alive.
